Microchips are an excellent, easy way to identify your pet in case she gets lost or runs away. Unlike tags on a collar (which may or may not be on your pet) this small identification chip is permanently located under the skin, between the shoulder blades. The chip itself is about the size of a grain of rice and takes only a few minutes to implant. The number on the chip is linked to you and your pet and recorded in a national pet recovery database. Many lost pets quickly find their families again because they were microchipped.
